I absolutely agree that fake toe nails look bad, in almost every case. Sometimes, I understand. Runners and other athletes sometimes injure their toe and can lose a nail. If a social engagement arises and open-toe shoes are preferred, I understand, and if applied at a salon, a fake nail can look surprisingly natural. That said, I dont’ agree that longer-than-nub nails are all that bad. It’s not my preference, cosmetically. But good hygiene is good hygiene. Short nails won’t automagically save you if you don’t bathe.
